Who I am
Emcoda is a small studio run by Ema, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. I'm responsible for the personal details you share through this website. If you have any questions about this notice, you can reach me through the contact form on the home page.
What I collect
When you send a message through the contact form, I receive:
- your name
- your email address
- the type of help you're looking for
- anything you write in your message
I don't use analytics, tracking cookies or advertising tools on this website.
Why I use it
I use your details only to reply to your enquiry and, if we decide to work together, to plan and deliver your project. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering messages people send me, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
I will never sell your details, share them for marketing, or add you to a mailing list.
Services that help run this website
- Formspree delivers contact form messages to my inbox and stores them on its servers. Formspree is based in the United States, so your message may be processed outside the UK.
- GitHub Pages hosts this website. Like most web hosts, it may log technical details such as your IP address to keep the service secure.
- Google Fonts provides the fonts on this page, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with them.
How long I keep it
If we don't end up working together, I delete your enquiry within 12 months. If we do, I keep project-related messages for as long as needed to support your project and to meet my legal and tax obligations.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you can ask me to see the details I hold about you, correct them, or delete them. You can also object to how I use them. Just send me a message through the contact form and I'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
